Annual Appeal is the major annual fundraiser
sponsored by the Parents Association. The PA charges
no dues or fees of any kind, and, therefore, every fall,
each family is asked to make a financial contribution
in order to fund PA activities, including Rising Stars,
grants, scholarships, and special events.
An annual fall event, Annual Appeal has
been the primary source of funding for the LaGuardia
Arts Parents Association in recent years. Each year,
the good folks at AFTRA donate their offices and telephones
for parent volunteers to call the parent body and ask
for their annual contribution to the school. Annual Appeal
enables the PA to provide additional support to the
Studios, for example, new kilns for the art studio.
Annual Appeal also allows the PA to support projects that
benefit the entire school, such as the LaGuardia Arts
website, Rising Stars, school sweatshirts, and a proposed
face-lift for the lobby, While other fundraising events
and efforts have started to emerge, Annual Appeal remains
the Parents Association's major source of income and
the key to our ability to support our school and thereby
our children.
