Dear Students and Parents,
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to our school website. We recently celebrated the 25th anniversary of the unification of the two outstanding schools that became Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts – The High School of Music and Art and The School of Performing Arts- which proved that the whole is truly greater than the sum of its parts.
Each and every year features a new and ever-greater celebration of what makes us one of the nation’s most prestigious high schools: our proud heritage over more than 70 years, dedicated staff, successful alumni, supportive parents, and – most of all – our talented students.
The entire school community is proud of our unprecedented achievements over the past year. We have diligently maintained a School Quality Review ranking of “Outstanding” and have once again earned an “A” rating on the NYC School Report Card.
We pledge to continue to live up to Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia’s expectation to remain his “greatest accomplishment” by offering LaGuardia students the finest pre-conservatory studio training and rigorous college preparatory coursework.
