Located in the Lincoln Square neighborhood
and right behind Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts,
LaGuardia Arts students go to school on Manhattan's
Upper West Side in a neighborhood that is particularly
rich in cultural life. Lincoln Center is a tourist center
that is home to the New York Philharmonic, Juilliard,
the Metropolitan Opera, and the New York City Ballet,
and other world renowned cultural institutions that
have special relationships with LaGuardia Arts students.
LaGuardia Arts is easy to get to by public transportation.
The local 1 and 9 line subway trains
stop at the 66th St. and Lincoln Center station; walk
to 65th Street and Amsterdam Avenue, which is the entrance
to the school; if you need help, ask someone to point
you in the right direction.
You can take the Express
2 or 3 trains to 72nd Street and walk back downtown;
be sure to walk downtown on Amsterdam Avenue to 65th
St.
If you come in on the Long Island Railroad or Amtrak
and arrive at Penn Station, take the uptown 1 or 9 train
to 66th St. (see above).
If you come in on a Metro North
Train into Grand Central Station, take the Shuttle train
(S) to 42nd St. Times Square and transfer to the uptown
1 or 9 train to 66th St.
The M104 bus stops near Lincoln
Center on Broadway and 65th; walk over one avenue block
to Amsterdam Avenue.
The M66 bus leaves youat 65th St.
and Amsterdam Avenue.
